During the job readiness component, Program staff and volunteers work individually with trainees to complete an application package.

  • Master Application
  • Resume
  • Cover Letter
  • References
  • Sample Thank You Notes

Once the application package is complete, Program staff provides assistance with online and email job applications. Trainees are required to complete at least 10 applications by graduation.

Staff and volunteers teach interview skills and partner with corporations to host mock interviews. Our partners include Chevron, Deloitte & Touche, and Genentch. Trainees have wonderful experiences and our volunteers always provide excellent feedback.

Upon graduation, each trainee is eligible for at least 12 months of follow up services and supports. Staff prioritizes job placement activity for graduates including individual assistance, job leads, and job referrals. Staff coordinates appointments for job assistance with the help of volunteers.
